In this post I am going to be discussing my feelings/opinions on this Trilogy/series and through out this post when ever i refer to the “trilogy” it will be written as I have just written it now as although its listed as a trilogy technically as there is a prequel novella at the end of it should be refered to as a series as there’s more than 3 books in it. if any of you want to share any of your views on any of the books in the series or the series as a whole then feel free to share them with me.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series as a whole as indeed I did each of the books in the series. All the books were well written and the characters as well as the plots were well-developed and believable.
Ghost Shadow is the first book in the ‘trilogy’ and it sucked me in immediately and kept me hooked to the end due to the authors great writing and overall plot and character development. This book looks at the possible link between the spate of modern-day murders and the years old mystery surrounding the murder of a locals x-fiance. This is based against the backdrop of a young local woman who has a gift for seeing ghosts and ends up embroiled in the mystery herself. The character development was particularly good because they were developed enough for this book but not so much that they were to overdeveloped to be taken any further in the future books, while also providing complete closure to the mystery that the book was based around in. I enjoyed this book so much that as soon as I’d finished it I immediately started reading Ghost Night the second book in the “trilogy”and I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest.
Ghost Night, the second book in the “trilogy” and although its based around a different mystery it was great that the main story line from the previous book continued throughout this one as well as the next one “Ghost Moon”. The book is based around mystery of the two young actors that were brutally murdered while on a film set on a remote Island, Are the murders down to modern-day marauders, the Bermuda triangle or a deadly paranormal echo of the Islands violent history?
I enjoyed this one as much as the first one because I was back in a place which was interesting with characters who I already felt invested in. Apart from getting to know the characters from the first book a little more it was great to meet and get to know the new characters.
The new characters that appeared in this book were all well-developed and believable, so I cant wait to see which of them carry over in to the next book apart from the main one Vanessa Loren. The relationship dynamics between the characters in this book particularly the new ones with the ones from the previous book were really interesting. It was particularly interesting to see how the relationship between Vanessa and Shawn and Vanessa and Bartholomew developed. I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first one so I immediately started reading the next one in the series”Ghost Moon”.
Ghost Moon, this is the third book in the “trilogy” again in this book although the main story line from the previous two books continued it was based around a new mystery, the mystery of the Cutter House an old family house that belonged to an eccentric collector and appears to be haunted, or is it, the hoax of a sick minded individual with designs on owning the house themselves. This book was equally as good as the previous books in the series.
The plot and characters in this book were well-developed and written which made them believable and easy to follow. It was great being back with the characters from the previous books in the trilogy while meeting the new characters from this book, Book information Post Book Review Post Weekly Reads Post – Week
Ghost Memories, this is a prequel for the bone island trilogy and tells Bartholomew’s (the ghost) life and death, and because of this although it is an interesting story it isn’t essential to read it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in 24 hours. Book Information Post Book Review Posts Weekly Reads – Week 16 Post
