  •  Finding her past was supposed to end the nightmare. Only it was just the beginning.

Entrusting the fate of the world, not to mention her and Isaiah’s life to a father she’s never met is a big leap of faith on Fallon’s part. But it’s a necessary risk. Ashton is the key to protecting Isaiah and keeping her out of Garrison’s clutches. He is also the only one who can tell her what she is, except what she learns is that she is from a world that is far more dangerous than anyone could possibly imagine.

As her powers grow out of control, Fallon must pick between her mortality and a legacy that does not include Isaiah. She must summon the courage to face a destiny that will test the boundaries of everything she has ever known. But most of all, she must protect Isaiah from the monster within herself and trust the man whose toxic blood runs through her veins.

Danger builds as power clashes between two evils, both seeking her to tip the scales to eternal darkness and suffering.

Can humanity rise to face an ancient calling to which Fallon is powerless to stop? Can she protect those she cares about, or will their blood forever stain her hands?

Touch Vengeance. Touch Malice. Touch Fire.

REVIEW

Star Rating: 5 Stars

Airicka thank you so much for asking me to review this book. I gave it 5 stars because it was a fantastic continuation to what I am sure is going to be an amazing series. The book is full of twists and turns and the is-it-isnt it love triangle that seems to be developing both of which keep the reader hooked.

In this book we saw Fallon meet her Father Ashton for the first time after escaping from Garrison, the man who was responsible for creating her. We also find out that she is a Wrath Sin Fledgling Princess because she is Non-human and Human and what her destiny is, to kill Garrison & when dies for her blood to kill everything that it touches.

We are introduced to the world that her father comes from and the particular region in that country he lives in Luxuria. To get into this world, which is in the Folds of the Mortal world, you have to travel through a magical portal called a nexus and to do this you need a tool that looked like a pen.

Isaiah was his usual self loving, caring and supportive of Falllon. Fallon doesn’t understand whats happening to her or what to do so she takes advice from other people which gets her into a lot of trouble. Due to this Isaiah generally is the one who takes the brunt of any attacks that they receive.

Archer is a new character that we are introduced to in this book & he’s Ashton’s right hand man. He is devastatingly good looking but it seems that he may have a dark side. It is clear all the way through the book that Ashton really loves Fallon although he not be all he seems especially when he cones to Fallon. what are his true intentions towards/plans for Fallon.

Then there’s Ashton’s wife Celia who seems to be very nice on the surface but, what is she really up to?

Book Review: Touching Eternity (1.5, Touch Saga by Airicka Phoenix

I purchased this book soon after I read and reviewed the first book in this Saga, Touching Smoke, because I had enjoyed that book so much.. However I didn’t get around to reading it until I received the digital copy of the next book in the Saga Touching Fire directly from the Author.

It was at this time that I read this book because I felt I should read it before I read the next book so I could get some insight in to some of the Characters from the first book: Garrison, Isaiah and Amalie (only talked about in the first book as she’s already dead), so I could read the next book with more understanding of the characters as it was hard to understand why they were like they were sometimes in the first book.

As with the previous book Airicka’s writing kept me intrigued and wanting to read more due to the character, scene and  event descriptions provided as they made you feel that you were seeing as an onlooker rather than a reader. All the way through the book I had sympathy for Amalie due to the brutal evil treatment that she received at the hands of her father in the name so called “treatment” because he believed that she was mentally unstable like her mother; who killed her self in front of Amalie when she was a child. I could also see that the Love that she had for Isaiah and that she knew he had for her

It was interesting to find out that Isaiah had been found on the streets by Garrison as he lived rough on the street after the murder of his mother by her Pimp which he witnessed. Most of the way through the book you believed that Garrison had taken him home with him when he found him to give him a better life but ultimately you learned that he’d actually done to use him as part of Amaile’s Treatment. Because of this you feel sorry for him but also because Garrison wont allow Isaiah to be with Amalie even though they desperately want to be together but them being together wouldn’t reflect well on his research so he does everything he can to to keep them apart. This even goes as far as in the end when their trying to escape shooting her.

I will recommend this book other people and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Airicka’s writing style is fabulous as it draws you in immediately and keeps you hooked all the way through the book because it makes you feel like you are actually part of the story. I loved this book as soon as I started reading it and it just got better and better as it went on. The main characters (Isaiah , Fallon and Fallon’s Mum) were grate and the Idea of Fallon being created to be a weapon was a really interesting one.

The Love Story between Fallon and Isaiah is a good one although I am not sure I like the idea that their love is in fact genetically engineered into them & will ultimately kill them. I am sure the whole story is going to develop more as the series goes on.

The Character of Garrison the man who created Fallon and Isaiah is a really interesting one because you know that he is a really dark, evil mad scientist type but there are flashes of a really caring person but hes so obsessed with trying to create the Ultimate Human/weapon.

With Fallon you feel really sorry for her because of the dreams she has, the powers that she starts to develop and the fact that she looses her mum so believes she is an Orphan until Isaiah tells her that her father is still alive.
