Against all odds, Libby Marks-Whelan is back at court - and no longer confined to the service corridors as a lady in waiting. With the start of the winter season, however, the competition for a crown just got a lot fiercer. Now that there are two princes searching for wives, Libby stuggles not just against the other debutants but also against the momtomy of court life in her new position. With the queens disapproval aimed squarely in her direction, will she weather the storm to win the prince?

With the Queens dissaproval aimed squarely
in her direction will she weather the
storm and win the prince?

This is the second book in a four book season
series and it tells the story of Libby's time
at court as a Debutante for the winter Season.
But just because shes there as a debutante now
rather than a attendant to a debutante as she was
in the first book doesnt mean she has an easier
time of it, infact if anythiing its even harder because
the competiton for the crown is even
tougher than it was last time as both the
Princes are taking part.

Again as with the first book When I read the
synopsis for this book on WattPad I was sure
that I was going to love it, even more so
beacuse I'd already read the first book in
the seres The Season and now i've read the book
I can say I wasn't dissapointed, thus the 4 out
of 5 star rating. And because of all the afore
mentioned things I have to say that this is a
book that I will both reccomend to others and
buy it as a gift for anyone I think would
enjoy it.

I received this book for free from wattpad but not in exchange for a review and this does not in any way prejudice my opinions on the book.
27/7 to 29/8 2019
First in Series
The Debutante #2/3, The Rebel Prince #3/3, The Heiress Queen Prequel #0.5
Libby, Ella, Prince Andrew
Pretania, Pretania Palace

Libby Marks-Whelan is decidedly not a lady. Kicked out of nearly every finishing school in the country, she's shocked when her demure, straight-laced cousin Ella invites her to the royal court as an attendant during her debutante season. What Ella fails to realize, however, is that Libby's brand of mischief is exactly the kind of distraction Prince Andrew is looking for during his inaugural season as an eligible bachelor.

This is the first book in a four book season series, prequel
The Heiress Queen, and it tells the story of Ella's debutante year of the Season with her young
finishing school drop out cousin, expelled from everyone in Pretania, Libby Marks-Whelan as
her attendant. It tells of all the goings on in the
season along with Libby's antics while there
until her cousin sends her home after finding
out what she'd been upto.
When I read the synopsus for this book
on WattPad I was sure that I was going to
love the book and now I've read the book
I can say I wasn't dissapointed, thus the
4 out of 5 star rating. And because of this I
have to say that this is a book that I will
both reccomend it to others and buy it
as a gift for anyone I think would enjoy it.

Book Reviews|#Netgalley Books| The Captain’s Bluestocking Mistress (The Dukes of War, #3) by Erica Ridley

I would like to start this review by thanking Erica for allowing me to read this fantastic book and say that although I received the book review it will not have an effect on my views about it.

I have given this book 5 five star rating because the writing style was great and I will read the book again as well as recommend it to others or buy it as a gift. It was also a good book for the continuation of this companion series (The Dukes of War).

Plot/Story line: This was a lovely easy to read romance book. The book follows the stories of Captain Xavier Grey (who has returned from the war a shell of a man), and spinster Jane Downing (who want’s to be off the shelf and into the arms of a hot-blooded man especially the dark and dangerous Captain Grey). He feels that he’s not deserving of the love and respect of others because of things that he did during the war while she just wants to experience the feeling of love experienced by her friends,

Character (s): There was a lot to the two main characters Jane and Xavier but equally as much to the other characters. Both characters were strong, kind, gentle natured loving, well read people whos love story was captivating. Xavier was also a very broken individual due to the things he’d seen and had to do during the war but the romance that happened between him and Jane was the catalyst for him rebuilding his life because it showed him that he was worthy of being loved.

Summary: I enjoyed this book as much as I did the “The Earl’s defiant Wallflower” and as much as I’m sure I will the rest of the series. Erica’s writing was fabulous as was her world building. The way she described the expectations in the regency period as well as the places and clothing was really evocative and made me as the reader feel like I was experiencing. Especially her descriptions of the clothes as it made me feel like I was actually touching the materials.
