What I think so far: At this stage I am really enjoying the story and love the main character Snow. In my opinion it is going to be a good start to what I am sure will be a good series. On the basis of these things at this stage I would give it a 31/4 star rating but I am sure by the time I have finished it I will give it a 4.5-5 Star rating. So if your interested in my rating and views keep an eye out for my review which will be linked below as soon as I have published it.

The Grace of Kings (The Dandelion Dynasty #1) By Ken Liu

Two men rebel together against tyranny—and then become rivals—in this first sweeping book of an epic fantasy series from Ken Liu, recipient of Hugo, Nebula, and The Grace of Kings (The Dandelion Dynasty #1)World Fantasy awards.

Wily, charming Kuni Garu, a bandit, and stern, fearless Mata Zyndu, the son of a deposed duke, seem like polar opposites. Yet, in the uprising against the emperor, the two quickly become the best of friends after a series of adventures fighting against vast conscripted armies, silk-draped airships, and shapeshifting gods. Once the emperor has been overthrown, however, they each find themselves the leader of separate factions—two sides with very different ideas about how the world should be run and the meaning of justice.

Fans of intrigue, intimate plots, and action will find a new series to embrace in the Dandelion Dynasty.

What I think so far: I am not that far into this book yet but I am enjoying it although I knew I would as the author is the same one who writes the Pacific North West Series, although she uses a different pen name for those books, and I love all the books that I have read in that series so far. All the characters in this book are shaping up to be interesting in their own ways and for their own reasons already which is making the book a page turner. On the basis of this I know I will more than likely give the book a five star rating on completion but keep an eye out for my review which will be linked below as soon as I have published it.
