When I first saw this book and read its synopsis on Amazon I was interested in it because my Parents had recently moved to Spain.

Although it took me a while to read this book I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a well written, interesting and at times laugh out loud chronicle of Chris and his wifes move to Andalusia and their early years living in Andalusia. It took me a while to read this book because although it was enjoyable the first few chapters were slow going once I got in to it I couldn’t put it down.                      This book followed Chris through from him finding and buying the property which would become his & his wives new home in Andalusia to having their daughter during their first few years in spain.

Chris’s witting was great and I enjoyed this the first book in the Lemons Trilogy so much that I cannot wait to read the next book in the series “The Parrot in the Pepper Tree” to read what happens in the Stewart families life in Andalusia.  This book is a very strong non-fiction Memoir with a travel slant to it. I would highly recommend this Memoir to anyone who enjoys reading any travel based nonfiction books particularly those with a focus on the individual it’s about moving to another country.

If anyone reading this post has read this book then I would love to hear what you thought about it .
